UnderstandOur Covid-19 Secure Measures

How have we made our Centre Covid-19 Secure?

To ensure The Ryan Centre is a Covid-19 Secure space, we have put in place several measures.

These include:

  • Decluttering of space and spacing out of seating/waiting areas.
  • Reduced capacity to essential staff and Members with appointments only thus limiting the number of people in the building.
  • Thorough cleaning of high use and treatment areas and any equipment used after every session.
  • All staff will be wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in line with Public Health England and CSP guidance.
  • All members will be asked to wear a face mask when moving around in the Centre.
  • Constantly monitoring ventilation. Opening windows and doors when indicated by our air quality monitors.
  • Covid screening on arrival at the Centre. This will help us ensure nobody with known Covid symptoms enters the building.
  • Assessing those at high risk and being aware if extra precautions are needed.
  • Encouraging all staff to be vaccinated.
  • Providing all staff with Lateral Flow Tests.

Public Health England recommends social distancing of one metre between people who are not members of the same household, and this is not possible with face-to-face physiotherapy. Everyone who attends the Centre will be asked to confirm the following each time they attend:

I confirm that I have not had any symptoms of Covid-19 within the last 10 days or knowingly been in contact with anyone with these symptoms:

If I, or anyone I am living with, develops any Covid-19 symptoms, I will inform the Centre as soon as possible and I will not attend.

Donations are really important to the continued running of the Ryan MS Therapy Centre, particularly as we receive no government funding.
