We are thrilled to have been chosen for the second year as the local charity partner for the big Sainsbury’s Superstore on Purley Way. Four colleagues from the Sainsbury’s branch came along to the centre today to see what we’re all about and how important their support is to us all here. They even handed over a big cheque!!
Thanks to our members, volunteers and supporters over the last year we raised £2,328.52 through in store collections, another £1,102.05 from the collection boxes on the tills, and received further funds from Sainsbury’s staff holding a Christmas raffle and coffee morning for us. They also gave us vouchers to support two of our events and endless sweets to fill the Christmas knitting decorations and Smarties for our Easter campaign – giving the partnership a value to the Centre of around £7,000.
This year we are hoping to beat that total and we will be calling on your support yet again with collections pencilled in for 12/13 September, 10/11 October, 7/8 November and 19/20 December.
